Artisan Coin New Series: The Tunnel - TCC

The Coin Penetration Tube is a classic piece of coin magic.

Two metal or wooden cylinders, which can be nested and separated, are connected by a playing card or metal plate between the two sections. When a coin is placed at one end of the tube, it magically passes to the other side.

Because the effect is so clean and straightforward, and did not require any complicated tricks or techniques to operate, the effect was once preferred by many prop manufacturers, including Tenyo.

However, over time, high quality coin penetration tubes have become rare. Plasticized and oddly shaped versions have gradually led to a loss of interest in playing with this prop.

For this reason, with a deep understanding of the prop and a dedication to coin magic, Jay Wang and Jimmy Fan joined forces to create The Tunnel by Artisan Coin - TCC.

Lenz's Law Routine:

You pull out two brass tubes with a wooden exterior and a magnet. You ask your audience if they have ever heard of "Lenz's Law" and then demonstrate the physical phenomenon known as Lenz's Law. When the magnet enters the brass tubes during free fall, its speed slows down, as if it were falling in slow motion.

You explain that this is because the magnet is affected by electromagnetic induction, and the principle behind this is called Lenz's Law, which was taught in middle school science class. However, that is not the point. The point is that most people only see the phenomenon on the surface, but don't realize that there is something magical behind it: the space inside that brass tube has been distorted...

The tunnel presents the traditional and simple effect of penetrating the coins and complements it with a real physical phenomenon, which not only logically creates the "reasonableness" of the magical effect, but also enhances the overall magical experience, making it more fascinating.

This routine was designed because we wanted it to be not just a magic trick, but a memorable and complete routine.

From the beautiful wooden exterior to the combination of brass and wood. From the physical prop itself to the routine and presentation, after many iterations and redesigns, the current version of The Tunnel was created.

The inner tube is made of 3mm thick brass, which maximizes the deceleration effect of Lenz's Law without affecting the aesthetics and stability of the brass-wood combination.

The exterior is perfectly covered with high quality rosewood. Each set has its own wood grain and color, presenting a high-end, elegant accessory.

We designed it to look like this because we hope that it is not only a magical accessory, but also a highly collectible, displayable, and performable boutique item.
