I am pleased to share the beautiful work of Fism winner Henry Harris.
I never liked this concept in coin magic until Henry showed me this process. It's natural, simple, appropriately motivated, visually deceptive, and very inspiring!
I immediately fell in love with it and began exploring ways to expand on his brilliant effect. So not only can you learn this original process for beginners from Henry, but you can also learn about my other ideas and techniques that I think make it even more magical. Usually my techniques are quite advanced ...... but not this time. This flow and its variations are simple, but extremely deceptive. I know you will enjoy it.
What you will learn:
Extras, no extras
Henry will teach you his "Shadow Coin" process, where four coins are spaced out in a square, you wave your hands over the coins, and they magically and visually jump one at a time until they all come together in a corner. He puts the coins back in their respective corners and has them all jump back in immediately! It looks better than the flow that uses extra coins, but there's nothing extra about this flow. There are only four coins.
Danny's Variation
Danny teaches his variation that allows you to show both hands empty between jumps. Danny also allows the coins to be spread farther apart, making the process seem even more impossible. All of this makes for a fun demonstration and adds a fun vibe to this amazing routine.
Danny's Reward Idea
A silver coin. One Chinese coin. Two copper coins. Still no extras! This process now seems even more impossible because there are no duplicate silver coins jumping back and forth visually after you have empty hands. This idea uses common props that most coin magicians will have, but you don't have to worry about the audience wanting to check it out. Danny will teach you how to disappear all the coins after the assortment, which fits in with the demo playing beauty.
" Extra with No Extra is by far one of the cleanest looking freehand matrix processes ever assembled. Awesome!"
- Eric Jones (Americas Got Talent Semi-finalist, seen on 'Wizard Wars' and 'Masters of Illusion')
"This is fantastic. Super practical and looks like real magic"
- Nicholas Lawrence
"I'm a huge fan of Henry's work! He's always been very intuitive and straightforward when it comes to magic. extra with no extra is no exception. Here you will learn a beautifully smooth coin swap and a killer ending that will have your audience not believing their eyes. Thumbs up from me."
