EyeSpy is Ben Cardall's new offering to the magic/mentalism community.
For those of you that know Ben Cardall, he labels himself as a Deductionist, as you have probably seen his other releases, like Sherlockian and more.
For those that know him, this is a good place to start.
What you get is a 13 page PDF explaining the ins and outs of the routine, as well as additional suggestions, tips, subtleties, etc.
This work reminded me a lot of Colin McLeod, Michael Murray, Fraser Parker and Peter Turner, so you get the basic gist of what this work entails. Inspiration is derived from Ben Cardall's game playing of the classic EyeSpy game, and let me tell you this is a smart pdf.
For those of you who ask, no this is not like Ouija, though it way seem that way, this is different altogether.
The basic effect is that you can divine, through deduction any thought of object in a person's house, via phone, person, chat, text, Skype, etc etc.
It really does work, as I have already applied it 2 times since learning it yesterday. I have never met or talked to Ben personally, but Fraser Parker is putting out this release as his first in the Intuition Series, and let me tell you, that this first release is a winner, and starts off the series with a bang.
The methods employed here are smart, allowing you to concentrate on your presentation, and the framework of this piece entails one through actually go through the actions by oneself, as to check yourself, and learn more and more in the process.
What I also learned about this work, is that you can put your own spin on things, as well as it opens up loads of possibilities for cold reading, for those of you in the know about cold reading, and it allows you to divine other details as well.
I am already working on my own variation of this work, and thinking on how I can elevate it yet to another level, as I have done with other works as well.
The original routine as it stands is a great one, and you don't need to develop other variation, I just find some avenues open for me to explore and report back, and see how I can change it.
Like I said, I have already done this 2 times, once over the phone, and once to my wife, and it passed with flying colors.
Once you learn this routine, you will always be ready to perform it at any given time.
Some practice is required, but nothing too hard, so it should be within everybody's grasp.
All in all, this routine is beautifully constructed, easy to understand, and something that you will use.
10/10
Good job Ben, and thanks to Fraser for picking this up under his label so to speak.
