Kirigami uses a very simple method so you can focus purely on the presentation and the effect is suitable for any environment. 

Here's what happens 
A piece of paper with 8 different letters folded into 8 spaces. The paper is cut so now there are 8 squares. Using a very fair selection process a word is made up using several letters. It is clear to the spectators that many words could be thought of. Without ever seeing the spectators word the mind reader correctly reveals her thought of word.
