Magician let the audience choose a card ( in this example is Spades 8 ) , and then disappear in the deck , then the magician tells the audience , " I will use the shadow to performing magic ," ask the audience watching on the floor or on the table shadow, magician cut card , and the emergence of the shadow on the floor box 4 (This is not the audience's brand ) , the magician will slowly waved before, block 4 movie actually becomes a shadow 8 of spades , then the audience rise, the magician 's hand really took a spade 8 !!Joshua Jay always wanted to achieve the effect .

Change the shadow of one card into another, and then change the card itself!

After a selected card is lost in the pack, the magician produces a "shadow" card with the pips cut out. This card, however, is not the selection. The spectators stare into the shadow (on the table or floor) that this card creates. As the magician waves his hand over the "shadow" card, both the card and the shadow change into the selection!
